About Us

Nine13Logistics was established in response to critical community needs identified across Central Indiana. Its parent organization, Nine13sports— a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Indianapolis since February 2012, leverages cycling as an educational tool in schools and community programs.

In 2020, Nine13sports rapidly mobilized its fleet, staff, and warehouse operations to develop and implement a centralized home food delivery program throughout Marion County. This initiative was carried out in partnership with leading organizations, including Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Second Helpings, and Indy Hunger Network, as well as local government agencies.

The success and scale of this effort led to the formal launch of Nine13Logistics as a dedicated division of Nine13Inc., in January 2020. Today, Nine13Logistics continues to provide efficient, reliable, and scalable logistics solutions, supporting a wide range of partners across the community.

Nine13 Logistics is a division of Nine 13 Inc., and excels in organizing and implementing complex operations for our community focused Indianapolis area customers. Revenue generated by Nine13 Logistics helps fund the impactful educational youth programming that Nine13sports conducts throughout Central Indiana. We have a track record of delivering effective solutions for our customers that increase efficiency and exceed their customer service standards.

Position Summary

As a Nine13 Logistics team member, you will be responsible for delivering food and other items across Marion County through several different operational lines we support. Some delivery days you will be taking individual boxes of food directly to residential addresses, other days you will assist with transporting pallets of food boxes to the various community centers we support, and occasionally supporting the transportation of nonfood items throughout the city.

Logistics Operations Teams are provided with a route each morning and operate in an efficient manner, with all stops scheduled to be made between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday.

Community Center delivery routes are known a few days ahead of time and delivery locations are repeated week after week. Deliveries of pallets to community centers are considered ‘low contact’ as we typically have a socially distanced interaction with one of the delivery location staff.

This is a very physical job. This position requires stepping in and out of vans and trucks, carrying boxes of varying weight, carrying boxes up and down stairs, and moving heavy pallets of food out of a box truck using a lift gate and pallet jack.

This job provides an opportunity to serve your community while providing steady hourly income and is expected to range from 20-40 hours per week with the potential to increase to 40 hours per week depending on program commitments.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years previous to applying, and preference will be given to those that have experience and are comfortable driving a box truck (no commercial driver’s license required).

Required Skills

  • • Must be at least 20 years old
  • • Must have a willingness to understand and abide by all safety protocols
  • • Must be able to pass a drug screening and a background check
  • • Must be customer service minded
  • • Must have valid Driver’s License for at least 3 years

Additional Preferred Skills

  • • High school education or equivalent
  • • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • • Experience operating a pallet jack, forklift and box tuck

Physical Requirements

  • • Must be able to perform a variety of physical tasks
  • • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • • Must have the ability to carry 30 pounds short distances
  • • Must have the ability to navigate steps while carrying 30 pounds

Salary and Compensation

  • • $18.00-$20.00 per hour
  • • Minimum 20 hours per week at current commitments, potential to scale to 30-40 hours per week as needed and desired
