Urban Grower Support Programs

The Nine13Logistics team was engaged by the City of Indianapolis in 2021 to support a Seed-to-Store program designed to strengthen the local food system and uplift urban farmers and growers. By creating pathways for fresh, locally grown produce to reach neighborhoods across Indianapolis, this initiative helps build a more connected and resilient community.

As the program grew, it evolved into the 2023–2025 LFPA #2 initiative, where Nine13Logistics plays a critical role in transporting, aggregating, storing, packaging, and distributing fresh produce. Through this work, we connect local growers to community partners and retail locations— ensuring fresh food reaches the people who need it most while supporting small producers and strengthening the local economy.

At its core, this effort is about more than logistics, it’s about empowering communities, increasing access to fresh food, and creating lasting impact across Indianapolis.
