In 2020, many food banks and community organizations served as distribution sites for residents able to travel. However, the Indy Hunger Network quickly identified a growing need among individuals who were unable to access these resources due to quarantine, self-isolation, or lack of transportation. 

Nine13Logistics responded by rapidly launching a direct-to-door delivery program. Repurposing our four sprinter vans, our team delivered Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana Family Meal Boxes, fresh produce, USDA Family Combo Boxes, and prepared meals from Second Helpings to households across Central Indiana. Designed for speed and accessibility, deliveries were completed within 24 hours using a no-contact model, reaching more than 250 households per day at the program’s peak. 

What began as an emergency response has evolved into a long-term solution. Today, Nine13Logistics supports partners such as CICOA through customized home delivery programs that provide fresh, high-quality produce to clients across Indianapolis as part of ongoing health initiatives. With reliable, bi-weekly deliveries made directly to each client’s doorstep, we eliminate transportation barriers and ensure consistent access to nutritious food. Each week, our team serves hundreds of households— improving access, supporting better health outcomes, and strengthening the communities we serve.
